Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim has issued an important announcement to the parents of their talmidim from overseas.
In the communiqué, the yeshiva unveils its decision to end the operation of its satellite branches in the United States, which opened due to the war.
In a reflection of the rapidly evolving circumstances, the yeshiva leadership conveyed their firm belief that the current conditions on the ground in Eretz Yisroel have finally converged to create an environment conducive to a confident and seamless return to Eretz HaKodesh.
The letter reads as follows:
With chadei Shomayim, we have witnessed a distinct siyata diShamaya at work in the learning established for the bochurim of the yeshiva here in the United States.
As you surely know, the yeshiva has gone to great lengths and invested substantial efforts so that the bochurim of the yeshiva can immerse themselves in learning. Indeed, our dear bochurim are sitting and toiling in their learning with great diligence and hasmadah, achieving remarkable hatzlachah.
Yet, at this time, we must firmly heed the unequivocal call and hroaah of the roshei yeshiva shlit”a in conjunction with other gedolei Yisroel. Given the current conditions, it is now clear that it is possible to comfortably and confidently return to Eretz Yisroel to learn at the yeshiva hakedosha, where the true ikkar of hatzlachah in Torah learning and aliyah ruchnis is achieved.
The rosh hayeshiva said that the special siyata diShamay that Torah Magna Umatzla these days to the talmidei hayeshiva is to those who shteig in all sedorim and tefillos of the yeshiva, including Friday and Shabbos.
Therefore, it is expected that each and every one return as soon as feasible to the yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel, to rejoin their chaburah and rabbonim within the yeshiva hakedosha.
Consequently, the temporary learning arrangement in Woodbourne will remain open only until Thursday after morning seder, the 11th of Cheshvan.
May the Ribbono Shel Olam help us in witnessing yeshuos and nechamos and see much nachas from our children.
