Shmuel Weiss, a six-year-old boy in Bnei Brak, who disappeared from his home on Rechov Kedushas Yom Tov in Shichun Satmar around 11 p.m. Tuesday night was found on Wednesday morning about 9 a.m. under a bed in his home after search teams scoured city streets for hours overnight Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. Hundreds of volunteers from Shomrim, Ichud Hatzlah, Hatzalah Gush Dan and ZAKA, assisted by many volunteer civilians carried out extensive searches and Shomrim drove throughout Bnei Brak in a car with loudspeakers from 6 a.m. requesting the public to assist in the search, broadcast both in Hebrew and Yiddish. A command center was set up on Rechov Chazon Ish as well as on Rechov Yismach Moshe in Shichun Satmar. Weiss is apparently talented at “hide & seek. He was ultimately found in his own home under a bed although the police had searched everywhere in his home at the beginning of the search, including under the beds.
