Dozens of bochurim from Yeshivas Chesed L’Avraha-Skulen, led by the Rosh Yeshiva Rav Michoel Cohen Arazi, were welcomed yesterday to the home of the eldest son of Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Avrohom Yeshaya Kanievsky, at Nechemiah 20.
The bochurim, who studied Maseches Megillah and completed the masechta l’illui nishmas Rav Chaim, were received warmly.
After one of the bochurim finished the masechta, Rav Avrohom Yeshaya said the Kaddish.
Then, after making a lechayim, said that his father used to follow the end of a masechta with the beginning of a new one, and asked what they would learn in the near future. The Rosh Yeshiva replied that they would study Sukkah. Rav Avrohom Yeshaya read and explained the first Mishnah in Sukkah, with the students listening intently.
Rav Avrohom Yeshaya then asked the bochurim a number of questions on Maseches Megillah, and was impressed by their extensive knowledge and enlightening answers.
