On Sunday, around 50 new recruits joined the chareidi ‘Chashmonaim’ Brigade, forming the foundation of its inaugural company.
By the end of the day, approximately 100 more chareidim will have signed up for reserve duty. These soldiers will begin six months of infantry training at the Rifleman 07 level, after which they will be incorporated into the brigade’s first reserves company.
Throughout this month, additional rounds of enlistment will occur, with new recruits joining the ongoing basic training sessions.
The two companies recruited today represent an important milestone in the formation of the chareidi brigade, marking a significant step toward increasing the involvement of the chareidi community in the IDF, especially given the growing operational demands resulting from the war.
In preparation for the creation of the brigade, a thorough process was carried out, which included selecting and training the right personnel, modifying policies, renovating the training base, and adjusting it to align with the chareidi lifestyle.
Throughout the day, more chareidi pre-recruits are signing up for a variety of programs designed to help them integrate into the IDF.
