Kan News reported that two of the terrorists scheduled for release today chose to stay in prison instead of returning to Gaza.
These terrorists, who were being held at Ketziot Prison, were part of the ceasefire-prisoner swap deal between Hamas and Israel, but expressed reluctance to leave. One of the individuals was eventually convinced to board the bus to Gaza, while the other remained adamant in refusing and was replaced by another terrorist from the list.
In total, 200 terrorists were freed on today as part of the deal, which included the release of four female IDF soldiers. Of the 200, 121 had been serving life sentences, and 79 were considered to be long-term prisoners. The freed individuals included 70 who were deported to Egypt, 114 released to Judea and Samaria, and 16 sent to Gaza.
Among those released, 137 were members of Hamas, 26 were from Fatah, and 29 were affiliated with the Islamic Jihad. Additionally, three were from the PLO, and one belonged to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
