On Wednesday, two separate incidents of stabbing occurred in the Manhattan subway, resulting in two men being hospitalized, the NYPD reports.
The first attack took place at 9:26 a.m. on the 1 train platform at the 110th Street-Cathedral Parkway station in the Morningside Heights area, according to police. A 30-year-old man was stabbed in the head, arm, and hip. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
Not long after, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the back while riding the 2 train near the 14th Street station in the Flatiron District. Emergency responders rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he remains in stable condition, officials said.
There have been no arrests in connection with either stabbing, and authorities are continuing their investigation. These attacks occurred just a day after another man was critically injured when he was shoved in front of a 1 train in Chelsea.
