Con Edison was taking 30,000 customers off power in Brooklyn to make repairs and prevent a bigger outage, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced in a tweet Sunday night.
The announcement comes on top of the more than 38,000 customers who lost power on the third day of an oppressive heatwave.
