A recently declassified document reveals that the CIA allegedly confirmed the existence of “the Ark of the Covenant” – meaning the Aron Hakodesh – through a remote viewing session. This mysterious process, known as extrasensory perception (ESP), supposedly uncovered that the Aron is protected by “entities” possessing an “unknown” power.
On December 5, 1988, a remote viewer identified only as #32 was instructed to find a target without knowing what it was. As it turned out, this target was the Aron, according to a document released on August 8, 2000, which has recently resurfaced online.
The procedure for a remote viewing session involves writing the name of a target on paper and sealing it in an envelope. The viewer has no idea what is inside and is led through the process by another person, explained Joe McMoneagle, a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer.
“Information collected under this protocol is the only information that can be identified as remote viewing,” McMoneagle explained.
McMoneagle, the first to participate in the CIA’s remote viewing experiments, remains skeptical of the findings in the declassified document.
According to the document, remote viewer #32 described the Aron as being located in a secret Middle Eastern site. The viewer did not know the target was the Aron, but noted it was “protected by entities.”
The viewer’s description of the target included details about its composition: “Target is a container. This container has another container inside of it. The target is fashioned of wood, gold and silver… similar in shape to a coffin and is decorated with seraphim,” the document records.
The viewer also mentioned seeing Mosque domes in the surrounding area and Arabic-speaking men dressed in white.
“The target is hidden — underground, dark and wet were all aspects of the location of the target,” the report continued.
The viewer further described the Aron’s purpose as being linked to uniting people and referenced its association with “ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection,” adding that it held “spirituality, information, lessons, and historical knowledge far beyond what we now know.”
The remote viewer then delved into more mystical details regarding the object’s protection.
“The target is protected by entities and can only be opened by those who are authorized to do so — this container will not/cannot be opened until the time is deemed correct. Once it is time to open the container — the mechanics of the lock system will be found to be fairly simple,” they noted, issuing a caution for any would-be intruders.
“Individuals opening the container by prying or striking are destroyed by the container’s protectors through the use of a power unknown to us.”
The viewer also elaborated on the Aron’s spiritual purpose.
“The purpose of the target is to bring people together. It has something to do with ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection. There is an aspect of spirituality, information, lessons and historical knowledge far beyond what we now know,” they said.
Accompanying the declassified document were several sketches, including one showing one of the four seraphim positioned on the corners of the Ark, as well as a drawing of mummies arranged along a wall.
However, Joe McMoneagle, a renowned remote viewer, is dismissive of the findings in this declassified report.
“Using remote viewing against any target for which ground truth does not exist or is impossible to obtain, such as UFOs, UAPs, the surface of Mars, or the locations of historical relics, is a waste of time and resources,” McMoneagle commented to The Post.
“If someone claims that remote viewing proves the existence of something, such as the Ark of the Covenant, they must produce the Ark to substantiate their claim.”
McMoneagle provided additional context for the 1988 remote viewing exercise conducted by the CIA.
“In this case, it is a training target done on a whim,” he said, adding, “I would challenge the entire practice session as bogus. No one attempted to ascertain the ground truth of the material, and everything said was accepted on its unknown and unverified merit.”
