Hamas terrorists cruelly delivered the bodies of four Israeli hostages, including two toddlers from the Bibas family, in sealed coffins with no key to unlock them — a final vile act after they had been paraded through Gaza’s streets, according to reports.
The terror group returned the bodies of 9-month-old Kfir Bibas, who had been kidnapped with his 4-year-old brother Ariel, their mother Shiri, 33, and 84-year-old Oded Lifshitz.
The Israeli Defense Forces took precautions to ensure the coffins were not rigged with explosives after they were handed over in sealed containers with no key to open them, as reported by The Times of Israel.
The bodies were then moved into new coffins, covered with Israeli flags, and transferred to the Abu Kabir forensic institute in Tel Aviv.
Officials indicated that it might take up to 48 hours to formally identify the deceased, according to the report.
