During a court hearing on Monday, Rudy Giuliani allegedly became upset with a courtroom sketch artist, accusing them of making him resemble his dog.
According to Reuters, Giuliani voiced his frustration with artist Jane Rosenberg, saying, “You made me look like my dog!”
This exchange occurred during a break in the proceedings, where a judge found Giuliani in contempt of court for not submitting the necessary details regarding his assets. These assets, including his penthouse and Mercedes-Benz, are at risk of being seized due to Giuliani’s delay in making payments following a defamation lawsuit judgment of $148 million. The case stemmed from two Georgia election workers who sued Giuliani for defamation after he wrongfully accused them of ballot tampering during the 2020 presidential election.
In October, Giuliani was instructed to surrender his New York penthouse, a Mercedes-Benz, and personal items such as a Joe DiMaggio jersey, in addition to funds to satisfy the judgment. Court documents indicated that Giuliani had handed over the penthouse and the car but failed to provide the required paperwork to liquidate these assets. Speaking to the Daily Beast, Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, commented, “it’s tragic to watch as our justice system has been turned into a total mockery” and further asserted that the ongoing trial is part of a “politically motivated vendetta” designed to “destroy” Giuliani.
