On Tuesday evening two people were killed by a Hezbollah rocket barrage on the Golan Heights.
Hezbollah fired about 40 rockets in the attack, per the IDF.
Israeli Police are working at multiple sites where debris from intercepted rockets landed, or where rockets hit. Five firefighting teams are on the scene to fight fires started by the rockets.
Hezbollah’s attack follows Israel’s assassination of Yasir Nimr Qaranbash, who was a former bodyguard of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. He was responsible for transferring weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
An Israeli drone targeted the car he was traveling in, on the Damascus – Beirut highway, in Syria. A second person killed in the attack has not yet been publicly identified.
“The target of the attack was responsible for transferring manpower and arms from Syria to Hezbollah,” officials told al-Hadath.
