On Thursday morning, hundreds of Gazans, including babies and young children, were seen attending a “release ceremony” hosted by Hamas. The event marked the handover of the remains of four deceased hostages to the Red Cross. After the ceremony, many social media users began advocating for the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s proposal to encourage Gazans to emigrate. Some posters pointed out that the presence of young children at such ceremonies was evidence that “there are no innocents in Gaza,” while criticizing the parents for bringing their children to witness the event.
Journalist Moriah Asraf expressed her shock, asking, “What kind of parent takes their children to see children who were brutally murdered? There will never be anyone for us to speak with there. Hopefully the transfer plan will work and they simply won’t be on our border.”
The ceremony was also attended by hundreds of armed Hamas terrorists, along with several commanders who, according to Israel, were killed during the war. Among the attendees was Mohammed Attiya Abu Warda, a terrorist released earlier in the negotiations with Hamas, despite his release being contingent on his relocation abroad.
