Merlin Entertainments, the parent company of Legoland, announced Wednesday that the long-awaited Town of Goshen park near Route 17′s Exit 125 will open on July 4, 2020.
It will be the largest Legoland theme park Merlin Entertainments has ever built, with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions across seven themed “lands” on 150 acres of the total 500 acres it owns.
“Our guests will be able to experience all of our 50 rides, shows and attractions (on opening day),” said Matt Besterman, public relations manager for Legoland and Merlin. “We’ve got buildings going vertical right now. Our theme park is designed to be secluded from our neighbors and from the highway, and with a 150-acre site, our progress isn’t easy to see from Route 17. Concrete is being poured, buildings are going up, and our rides are being shipped to Goshen for installation.”
