During a joint press conference with Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and French President Emmanuel Macron, President Macron said that he was pushing the U.S. to delay it’s withdrawal from Syria, lift sanctions on the nation, and that discussions were underway within the EU on gradually lifting sanctions against Syria.
