President Joe Biden expressed frustration with reporters on Sunday after being asked about his age, following a White House event where he celebrated the signing of the Social Security Fairness Act.
“My being the oldest president, I know more world leaders than any one of you ever met in your whole [expletive] life,” Biden responded sharply.
This is not the first instance where the president has shown irritation toward the press; in November 2024, during a different exchange, Biden told a reporter, “Do you think you can keep from getting hit in the head by a camera behind you?” when asked about the possibility of securing a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas before the end of his term.
Biden was also reported to have become upset when questioned about his earlier remarks regarding his successor, President-elect Donald Trump, who he had described as a potential “threat” to democracy. “I think what he did was a genuine threat to democracy,” Biden stated.
