Overnight, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu boarded the “Wing of Zion” flight, returning to Israel after a week-long stay in Washington. He was accompanied by his wife, Sara, who had been in Miami with their son Yair for the past two months. Prior to departure, Netanyahu declined to answer any questions from the press.
The Prime Minister’s original itinerary for his Washington trip was set for five days, but he decided to extend his stay through the weekend. During his visit, Netanyahu engaged in talks with President Donald Trump and key figures in the U.S. administration. The two leaders held a joint press conference where President Trump unveiled his proposal for a U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu is anticipated to arrive in Israel this evening and will attend a special Cabinet session at 8:00 p.m. to address the creation of a state commission of inquiry into the events of October 7. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will lead a meeting of the Security Cabinet to continue discussions regarding the ongoing hostage agreement.
