Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu emphasized today that Israel would not entertain the idea of a ceasefire in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza until the release of hostages held by Hamas is secured.
His remarks were delivered at the onset of a routine cabinet meeting as discussions for a new round of ceasefire negotiations in Egypt loom on the horizon.
Netanyahu remained resolute, stating that Israel would not yield to what he deemed as “extreme” demands from Hamas, the Islamist terror group responsible for instigating the conflict on Oct. 7 with its lethal assault on southern Israel.
