On Sunday 19th May, over 500 individuals will participate in OXC, OHEL’s Annual mud-run style extreme obstacle race at Camp Kaylie at OHEL in Wurtsboro, New York.
This Year, OHEL additionally takes OXC online, with our special 24 hour Online OHEL Xtreme Challenge, where, without the mud, you can help children, adults and families overcome life’s biggest obstacles. OHEL is celebrating 50 years of service in strengthening the community through over 50 programs and services that meet the ever increasing and diverse needs of the community.
With a goal of $500,000, OHEL is on a mission to continue make giant leaps! Click here to join the campaign!
OHEL is committed to helping children find loving foster care, victims of domestic violence find safety, and elder adults find the ability to independently thrive. Over 1,200 dedicated employees work tirelessly to elevate the lives of those facing crises to everyday individuals facing everyday challenges.
“Knowing I have a family of support at OHEL Bais Ezra that deeply understands the needs of my autistic child, and delivers the best services that enables my son to thrive, and the respite our family needs, is priceless” comments an OHEL Bais Ezra parent.
OHEL helps those experiencing trauma and anxiety learn coping strategies, and through Camp Kaylie at OHEL, enables typical campers and campers challenged by disabilities, to have the summer of their lives, and develop life-long friendships at the ground-breaking inclusive summer camp.
“It seemed increasingly unlikely that our son with his unique challenges would ever get to attend sleep-away camp. Then something incredible and unexpected happened…Camp Kaylie. A Camp Kaylie parent continued by saying “We are enormously indebted to OHEL. The positive effect cannot be underestimated”.
