Likud and Otzma Yehudit finalized an arrangement on Tuesday, paving the way for Otzma Yehudit to reenter the government. As part of the deal, ministers from the party will reassume their previous roles.
Later today, the government is set to approve the reinstatement of Otzma Yehudit’s ministers, with the formal swearing-in scheduled for tomorrow in the Knesset plenum. While the ministers will resume their previous positions, no revised coalition agreement has been established.
This development is likely to impact the coalition’s stability, bolstering the right-wing bloc, particularly in areas of security and foreign policy, where Otzma Yehudit has pushed for a firmer stance.
Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara voiced her opposition to the move, asserting that Otzma Yehudit must not be permitted to rejoin the government.
