President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order that will revoke security clearances for employees of the law firm that retained Fusion GPS—the company responsible for compiling the controversial Steele Dossier during the 2016 election, Breitbart News has learned.
According to a White House document obtained exclusively by Breitbart News from a White House official, the security clearances of those working at Perkins Coie LLP “will be immediately suspended, pending a review of whether their access to sensitive information is consistent with the national interest.”
The document states that the federal government will discontinue the provision of materials and services to Perkins Coie LLP, including revoking access to secure government facilities, known as SCIFs. Furthermore, employees of the firm will no longer be permitted to enter government buildings.
Under the new directive, Perkins Coie LLP staff members will also be barred from being hired by federal agencies unless a specific exemption is granted. Additionally, government funds will not be allocated to any contractors that engage the law firm’s services.
A comprehensive and detailed evaluation will be conducted on all existing contracts between Perkins Coie LLP and federal agencies, with department heads instructed to terminate contracts where legally permissible.
The document further specifies that “The practices of Perkins Coie LLP will be reviewed under Title VII to ensure compliance with civil rights laws against racial bias.”
It highlights the firm’s involvement in 2016 when it engaged Fusion GPS “to manufacture” the Steele Dossier, which subsequently played a central role in what became known as the Russian Collusion Hoax.
Additionally, the document claims that the dossier was “designed to steal an election while representing failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.”
The White House document also points out that Perkins Coie has collaborated with activists, including left-wing billionaire George Soros, in efforts to challenge and overturn election integrity laws such as voter ID requirements.
