Taher Nounou, one of Hamas’ terror letters, is urging the global community to exert pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu to end the war and withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip.
Last night, Nounou emphasized that the images from the reception held for terrorists released from Israeli prisons reflect the widespread backing for the “Palestinian resistance.” He said, “These images confirm the determination that ‘the day after’ in the Gaza Strip will only be decided by the Palestinians.”
He further pointed out that these images send a clear message to the international community, as well as to those “deluding themselves about the continuation of the war.” Nounou stressed that while Hamas is ready for any military scenario, it remains open to negotiations within the framework of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
“We’re ready to resume the fighting,” he declared.
In his address, Nounou reiterated his call for international intervention to apply pressure on Israel. “We call on the international community to compel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the war and withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip.”
At the same time, reports indicate that a high-level Hamas delegation is set to travel to Cairo next week. The delegation will continue the discussions that were previously held in Iran and Turkey. These talks are expected to focus on advancing reconciliation efforts within the Palestinian Arab community, shaping agreements for the “day after” in Gaza, and negotiating the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which involves the release of additional hostages in exchange for further terrorist releases from Israeli prisons.
