Samaria Council head Yossi Dagan met with Paula White, a senior advisor to President Donald Trump and head of the Faith Office at the White House. White is regarded as one of Trump’s closest confidantes and plays a key role in maintaining connections between the President and evangelical leaders, as well as broader faith-based communities.
Her influence was evident during Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s recent visit to Washington. Despite a packed itinerary, Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, dedicated a full four hours to meeting with White at the White House.
Dagan’s meeting with White was part of a series of discussions he is conducting in Washington with top officials in the Trump administration, along with senators and congressional representatives. His mission is to rally support for Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, push forward the initiative for Israeli sovereignty in these regions, and strengthen the Judea and Samaria lobby in Congress. Dagan played a central role in establishing the lobby, alongside Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and over twenty other members of Congress. The lobby is currently working to pass legislation that would eliminate the term “West Bank” from official U.S. documents, replacing it with “Judea and Samaria.”
Dagan also sat down with Massad Boulos, a U.S. businessman of Lebanese descent and a political figure close to President Trump, particularly in matters concerning the Middle East. During their discussion, Boulos conveyed his admiration for the people of Samaria, saying, “It is a great pleasure and honor to meet you, and to convey through you my heartfelt appreciation to the people of Samaria. To my brothers and sisters in Israel and Lebanon, we look forward to peace and yearn for peace, and with God’s help, we hope it will be soon.”
At the conclusion of his meeting with White, Dagan presented her with a handcrafted mezuzah case made from stones of Mount Ebal. The mezuzah was crafted by artist Asaf Kidron, a resident of Itamar in Samaria.
White expressed deep gratitude for the gift and shared her plans for it, saying, “I am so honored to receive this absolutely beautiful gift. I will hang it in my office. I am grateful to be here and pray for blessings over Judea and Samaria. I pray for peace for Israel and Jerusalem.”
Dagan responded by thanking White, emphasizing the significance of their shared mission. “Thank you very much. I want to thank you, you are doing a mission from God. A historical mission, we are praying for your success, for our success, you are saving the world with President Trump. We are praying together to be strong in the land of the bible, in Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria, and make the ties between the US and Israel great again.”
As the meeting concluded, Dagan blessed White with Birkas Kohanim and offered her words of encouragement, saying, “God will give you strength and success to restore the good cooperation between the US and the State of Israel – to be strong again!”
