The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit revealed on Thursday morning that Sergeant Major (Res.) Ronny Ganizate, 36, from Giv’at Shmuel, a soldier in the 5030th Battalion of the 228th Brigade (Alon), was killed in action in southern Lebanon.
During the same operation where Sergeant Major Ganizate lost his life, another reservist from the same battalion suffered critical injuries. He was swiftly taken to a hospital for urgent medical care, and his family has been informed.
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, an IDF Combat NCO and a reservist, who works as a field investigator in Unit 504, sustained serious injuries while engaged in combat in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, on Wednesday morning, a reservist from the 8207th Battalion, 228th Brigade, was also gravely injured in combat operations in southern Lebanon. Both soldiers were evacuated to receive necessary medical treatment, and their families were duly notified.
On Monday, the IDF made an announcement about the death of Command Sergeant Major (Res.) Aviv Magen, 43, from Herut, who was killed during clashes along the Israel-Lebanon border. Magen was serving with Unit 5515 when he fell in battle on the border.
Just hours before, the IDF had confirmed the death of Master Sergeant Etay Azulay, 25, from Oranit, who was killed in the same confrontation.
