Shocking footage captures the intense aftermath of a small plane crash at a retirement community located in Amish country, Pennsylvania, revealing a scene of devastation with multiple injuries reported.
The crash occurred in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, shortly after the plane took off from Lancaster Airport at around 3:15 p.m. EDT, according to authorities.
Several individuals have sustained injuries, and authorities have closed Route 501 in the surrounding area. Disturbing footage from the scene shows the fiery wreckage in a nearby parking lot.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and emergency responders have rushed to the location, as confirmed by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
“Our team at Pennsylvania State Police is on the ground assisting local first responders following the small private plane crash near Lancaster Airport in Manheim Township,” Governor Shapiro wrote in a post on X.
“All Commonwealth resources are available as the response continues and more information will be provided as it becomes available,” he added.
