On Thursday, the family of Segev Kalfon, who is being held hostage by the Hamas terrorist group, shared that they had received confirmation that he is alive.
Kalfon, 27, from Dimona, was taken captive during the Nova Music Festival attack on October 7th, 2023.
Last month, his family commemorated his birthday. His mother sent him a heartfelt message: “Segev, this is Mom, today’s your second birthday in captivity. I want you to promise me that you’re tough in soul and body and you know how to protect yourself. Trust that everyone here on the outside is doing everything to free you and it will happen in the coming weeks.”
She also expressed: “Don’t give up, you’re getting out. On this birthday, I wish you that you come out to us. Everyone’s waiting to hug you – Dad, Raz, Rotem, Talia, and all the friends, and it will happen very soon. Mother’s promise. Trust G-d. The angels are protecting you every moment and every minute, believe it and it will happen. We love you and are dying to see and hug you.”
Following the release of some hostages in the ongoing negotiations, the families of others still in captivity have received signs of life from their loved ones.
For instance, on Wednesday, the family of Eitan Mor reported that they had received confirmation that he is alive. Furthermore, Anat Angrest, the mother of abducted IDF soldier Matan Angrest, shared that she had received evidence that her son is enduring severe interrogations and being held in brutal conditions due to his military status.
