President Trump stated on Monday that he would “look into” the possibility of revoking Hunter Biden’s Secret Service protection after the former first son, accompanied by over a dozen agents, was seen vacationing in South Africa. This came at a time when Hunter was scheduled for a court deposition.
“If there are 18 agents with Hunter Biden, that’s something I’ll examine later today,” Trump told reporters during his visit to the Kennedy Center on Monday.
The trip, which was funded by taxpayers, had Hunter Biden staying in a lavish $500-a-night villa in Cape Town. The property is advertised as an “ultra-luxurious designer home with spectacular 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sea.”
Trump, 78, also voiced his disapproval of Hunter being in South Africa, noting that his administration had cut off foreign aid to the country after it began seizing land from farmers as part of an Apartheid reparations policy.
“South Africa, you know, is on a watch list. You know that, yes, because what they’re doing to people is brutal, and I’ve stopped having money go to South Africa. You know that’s billions of dollars,” Trump said.
“So he’s in South Africa. That’s really interesting. All right, I’m going to take a look at that.”
