A top adviser to the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said last week that 21 American bases in the region were targets for Iranian missiles.
Citing a NATO statement that Iran was capable of launching 20,000 missiles a day, IRGC Gen. Allahnoor Noorollahi said in a Nov. 29 speech in the city of Bushehr that that figure is low, and that the Islamic Republic has prepared itself for “the greatest war against the greatest enemy.”
Tehran’s greatest enemy, he emphasized, was the United States, though he also referred to a speech by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in which Khamenei threatened to raze Haifa and Tel Aviv to the ground if Israel made any “mistake.”

A new study on antisemitism in the UK found that more than two-thirds of strong supporters of Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn hold at least one antisemitic view. It also found that far-left hatred of Jews is now more prevalent than far-right Jew hatred in Britain, with 60% of the former believing at least one stereotype.
The study, called the “Antisemitism Barometer,” was commissioned by YouGov at the request of the Campaign Against Antisemitism and was released November 30th.
The poll revealed that 84% of British Jews believe Jeremy Corbyn to be a threat to the Jewish community, with 42% having considered leaving the country in the past two years due to antisemitism, a scale that is “unprecedented since medieval times,” according to the report.

Mexico’s government said Sunday that it had detained several suspects in the slaying of several members of a fundamentalist Mormon sect with dual U.S.-Mexico citizenship.
An official with the office of Mexico’s attorney general told The New York Times that multiple suspects had been detained Sunday in an operation, though no other information was immediately available. The arrests followed the detention of another suspect in Mexico City earlier this month, according to the newspaper.
Nine members of the La Mora Mormom fundamentalist settlement in Sonora, Ariz., were killed by gunmen suspected to be working for a international drug cartel in early November while traveling to the Mexican state of Chihuahua for a wedding.

With a general election less than two weeks away, politicians in Britain tore into each other Sunday over the early release of a convicted Islamist terrorist who stabbed two people to death in a rampage on London Bridge.
As tributes poured out for the victims of the Friday attack, leaders of the Conservative and Labour parties traded blame on the Sunday talk shows and speeches on the hustings over which side was responsible for the laws that allowed the homegrown, al-Qaida-inspired Usman Khan to be released after serving less than half his 16-year sentence for plotting to blow up the London Stock Exchange.
