One of the State University of New York’s campuses will shut down for two weeks after more than 100 people in the college community tested positive for the coronavirus, officials announced Sunday. The positive cases at SUNY Oneonta represent about 3% of the students and faculty on campus this semester, said Jim Malatras, the chancellor of the state university system. Malatras, who joined Gov. Andrew Cuomo on a conference call, said five students have been suspended because of large parties that were held last week. He said three rapid-result testing sites will be set up in Oneonta starting Wednesday.

A man who was fatally shot after supporters of President Donald Trump clashed with left-wing protesters on the streets of Portland, Oregon, was a supporter of the right-wing group Patriot Prayer, its founder said Sunday. Joey Gibson, head of the group based in Washington state, told The Associated Press the man who was shot to death Saturday night was a “good friend,” although he did not identify him. Gibson said he was also in Portland on Saturday night when the Trump supporters clashed with Black Lives Matter protesters downtown. Gibson arrived at the scene of the shooting shortly after it happened and video from the scene showed he was briefly corralled in a nearby gas station by angry protesters. “I can’t say much right now.

Israel’s Health Ministry reported 898 new coronavirus cases on Sunday morning, a typically low number following the weekend, when a low number of tests are carried out. There are currently 20,151 active coronavirus cases, with 441 seriously ill patients, of whom 121 are ventilated. The death toll has risen to 909. The coronavirus cabinet is scheduled to convene on Sunday to vote on implementing coronavirus czar Prof. Ronni Gamzu’s “traffic light” program, which divides cities into “red,” “orange,” or “green,” according to their infection rates. According to the plan, the opening of schools in red zones may be delayed.

Bs’d That smiling seven year old boy is me, Avrohom Dov. I love school and I love to learn. You see, I have cerebral palsy and can’t move my body at all Please don’t feel bad because I am really very happy. I am not like you because I never knew what it is like to move a limb, to scratch an itch, to dance, to run. I am used to being harnessed to my standing or sitting wheel chair. That isn’t why I am writing to you. I may be imprisoned in a paralyzed body, but I am intelligent and I do have feelings. My father used to carry me up the stairs, but he has already ruined his back. My mother is tired because she wakes up so many times during the night to change my sleeping position so I won’t get those terribly painful bed sores.
