A major decision regarding the future of the Keren Olam HaTorah may be imminent, it has emerged, after a visit by Rav Aviezer Piltz, Rosh Yeshivas Tifrach, to the home of Maran Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka.
During the visit, which took place over Pesach, Rav Piltz is seen expressing deep gratitude to Rav Hirsch for his pivotal role in establishing Keren Olam HaTorah, a fund that has supported the financial stability of the Israeli Torah world over the past year.
Rav Hirsch shared that the original fundraising campaign was only intended to cover one year, and the funds are nearly depleted. He revealed that he is currently weighing whether and how to launch another campaign for the upcoming year.

Rav Mazuz was hospitalized in recent days, and his condition deteriorated significantly just before his petirah on Shabbos, the seventh day of Pesach. He was 80 years old.
Born on the 13th of Nissan in 1945 in Tunisia, Rav Mazuz was the son of Rav Matzliach Mazuz zt”l, a leading figure in Tunisian Jewry and the founder of Yeshivas Kisei Rachamim.

Two yeshivah bochurim were arrested on Sunday morning at Ben Gurion Airport due to their failure to report to IDF recruitment centers. The bochurim were transferred to the Dan camp in Tel HaShomer for a hearing on the matter. The L’ma’ancha organization, which assists bnei yeshivoos with draft issues, intervened in the matter, and after several hours, the bochurim were released.

The Lemaancha organization, which provides support for yeshiva students facing conscription-related challenges, immediately informed senior chareidi rabbanim of the situation. Acting on the guidance of these gedolim, Lemaancha began assisting the detainees.

A planned fundraiser featuring Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir at the Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn was abruptly called off on Friday, not long after the event was first publicized.
