Former special counsel Robert Mueller returned on Tuesday to his former law firm, where he will work on high-profile investigations and crisis management.
Mueller’s gig brings him full circle, back to WilmerHale’s Washington, D.C., office, where he was a partner before agreeing in May 2017 to lead the government’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
“I’m glad to be at WilmerHale once again, a firm with a tradition of honoring public service,” Mueller said in a statement released by the law firm. “It was an honor to serve as special counsel. Now, I look forward to resuming my private practice alongside the talented lawyers at the firm.”

Despite still being a small fraction of all meals served aboard airlines, the number of kosher meals served by carriers has increased by 40% in the past 5 years. In a survey of major carriers and kosher caterers, the number of kosher meals continues to increase as a growing number of kosher adherents travel.

With very few exceptions, all air carriers offer the kosher meals although travelers differentiate between the quality of the various caterers. Most frequent travelers, for example, cited Hermolis in London as being amongst the best with other caterers such as Bornstein’s, Regal, Masbia and Tamam also receiving good grades.

Earnest pleaded not guilty Thursday to a new charging document stemming from the preliminary hearing, though prosecutors made little changes to the original charges.

New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused President Donald Trump of engaging in “targeted” anti-Semitism toward California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff in a Saturday tweet.
Ocasio-Cortez’s comments came after the president condemned the House Intelligence Committee chairman, who is Jewish, for fabricating part of his opening statement during a Sept. 26 hearing regarding Trump’s July phone call with Ukraine’s president.
“Understand that Trump is engaged in deliberate, atrocious, targeted antisemitism towards Chairman Schiff. Then ask yourself why no one cares to denounce it – esp when his accusation of it towards others drove full news cycles earlier this year,” the freshman Democrat tweeted along with an Intercept article.

Over the past half-century, North America has lost more than a quarter of its entire bird population, or around 3 billion birds.
That’s according to a new estimate published in the journal Science by researchers who brought together a variety of information that has been collected on 529 bird species since 1970.
“We saw this tremendous net loss across the entire bird community,” says Ken Rosenberg, an applied conservation scientist at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca, N.Y. “By our estimates, it’s a 30% loss in the total number of breeding birds.”
