President Donald Trump said Thursday that his relationship with religion had “changed” after a pair of failed assassination attempts last year, as he advocated at the National Prayer Breakfast at the Capitol for Americans to “bring God back into our lives.”
Trump joined a more than 70-year-old Washington tradition that brings together a bipartisan group of lawmakers for fellowship.
“I really believe you can’t be happy without religion, without that belief,” Trump said. “Let’s bring religion back. Let’s bring God back into our lives.”

U.S. Representative Al Green (D-TX) declared on Wednesday that he intends to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump following Trump’s announcement of a plan to relocate Gazans and assume control of the Gaza Strip.
“I rise today with a ‘to whom it may concern’ message. To whom it may concern; ethnic cleansing in Gaza is not a joke, especially when it emanates from the President of the United States. The most powerful person in the world. When he has the ability to perfect what he says,” Green asserted during a session of Congress.
He went on to say: “Ethnic cleansing in Gaza is no joke and the Prime Minister of Israel should be ashamed, knowing the history of his people, to stand there and allow such things to be said.

Thieves stole $40,000 worth of eggs from the back of a trailer in a massive heist that took place in central Pennsylvania over the weekend, Pennsylvania State Police said. A probe is underway after approximately 100,000 eggs were stolen from producers Pete & Gerry’s Organics in Greencastle.
A spokesperson for the farm, which says it’s the nation’s top producer of pasture-raised and organic, free-range eggs, said: “We are actively working with local law enforcement to investigate.”
U.S. egg prices have risen to near-record highs—the average price for a dozen eggs in the country has soared nearly 50 percent in the last year, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The Robert Kraft Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), created by billionaire and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, is preparing to make a return to the Super Bowl on February 9. This time, they will debut an $8 million ad, featuring well-known figures such as rapper Snoop Dogg and former New England Patriots quarterback and NFL legend Tom Brady. The ad will end with an updated message reading: “Stand Up to All Hate.”
A year ago, on Super Bowl Sunday, FCAS aired a $7 million ad that featured Dr. Clarence Jones, a Civil Rights leader and the speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The commercial focused on the dangers of silence in the face of increasing antisemitism. It concluded with FCAS’s signature blue square and the phrase, “Stand Up to Jewish Hate.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) caused a stir with a cringeworthy display at an anti-Trump protest, where he hoarsely led a chant of “we will win.”
Schumer attended the rally with several other members of Congress to oppose President Trump’s decision to grant billionaire associate Elon Musk access to the federal government, specifically the U.S. Treasury.
“I’m going to stand with you in this fight and we will win!” Schumer shouted in a raspy voice, leading the crowd in a repetitive chant of, “We will win! We will win!”
The Senator then awkwardly reached for Rep. Maxine Waters’s (D-CA) hand, raising it into the air in a dramatic gesture.
