Polls have closed in the U.K.’s general election and a key BBC exit poll suggests Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on track for the parliamentary majority he has desperately sought to “get Brexit done.”
Why it matters: If the results hold, Johnson will have far exceeded expectations and should be able to easily pass his Brexit deal. It would be the biggest Conservative majority since Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s 1987 victory, and a disaster for the opposition Labour Party and its leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

Labour: 191 (-71)
Scottish National Party (SNP): 55 (+20)
Liberal Democrats: 13 (+1)

An 18 year law enforcement veteran and married father of five was tragically murdered in the Jersey City attack on Tuesday December 10.

Chai Lifeline is mourning the passing of a victim of yesterday’s horrific attack in Jersey City, Moshe Hersh Deutch Hy”d, who was a dedicated Bike4Chai and Achim B’yachad – Chai Lifeline volunteer.

A Queens man is under arrest for an apparent anti-Semitic incident that took place at the Five Towns Costco. Nassau County Police said Justin Pichizaca, 20, threatened two men and an 11-year-old with violence and yelled slurs at them based on their religion.
