Our humanitarian delegation of volunteer medics and doctors arrived in Kishinev, Moldova yesterday to bring medical supplies, medicine and food to assist those fleeing the war in Ukraine. These volunteers are on the border of Moldova and Ukraine right now providing medical care and psychological support for refugees as they cross the border.  Next, we are going to charter an El Al plane to deliver additional volunteer medics and doctors to bring medical and staging equipment for a specialized field hospital.

Am Yisroel,  Putin’s war has started and Ukraine is under aggressive attack. Right now the frum men, women & little children of Ukraine are hiding in bomb shelters. There have already been many civilian casualties.  We fear for our lives.  We beg of you to help us obtain the funds for security guards to protect ourselves. We can literally hear missiles exploding as we write this.  We cannot stress this enough– Your donations will save lives. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO HELP US – IT IS A MATTER OF PIKUACH NEFESH – MAMASH!!

Like our forefathers in the midbar who accepted the Torah at Har Sinai, many of us long for our Yeshiva days, when we were able to devote all our time and energy to the geshmak of total immersion in the breadth and depth of the yam hatorah.

United Hatzalah’s Ukraine branch has been operating year-round since 2016 to protect the Jewish community in the cities of Uman, Odessa, and Kyiv. As Russia has started its invasion of Ukraine, we must support our volunteers on the ground, to enable them to help those in need. DONATE NOW! Our volunteers in Kyiv, Uman and Odessa have sent their families away but are staying to protect the Jewish community. The medical system in Ukraine is extremely primitive, and every oxygen tank, defibrillator and bandage can, and will, save lives.  We have an emergency delegation of volunteers leaving from Israel to bring medical supplies and communications equipment and to assist with those fleeing the country, our goal is to raise $1 million to support all these critical needs.

We are living through unbelievable moments in history as Ukraine and Russia stand at the brink of war. During what may be their final moments of normalcy, the frum community of Ukraine has released a hair-raising message for the public:   “We have no idea what’s gonna be….We are trying to arrange food and guards for the place. And it’s pikuach nefesh…Whoever hears our message, please help us.”   Any day now, the Russian army will invade Ukraine and it will be a seriously dangerous situation for the frum community. Security can cost up to $1000 a day and most Jews currently have no option of leaving the country. An emergency fund has been started to afford protection for the community. It is a matter of serious pikuach nefesh. Click here to help.

CLICK HERE to watch the video from Harav R’ Moshe Weinberger Shlita The Jewish community in Ukraine is in a state of chaos! Kehilas Beis Ahron V’yisroel of Kiev has fled to Medzhybizh in an attempt to escape a terrible war. They will likely travel to other, safer destinations in case of emergency. Large families of devoted Bnei Torah have left their homes and are living day-to-day with uncertainty and great anxiety. They have no idea where their next destination will be! This community has a travelling kollel; they continue learning despite their harsh situation. Children are being provided with rebbeim to teach them. They will not stop learning under any circumstance whatsoever.

World-renowned speaker Rabbi Paysach Krohn released an emotional video message this week, in response to the current situation in the Ukraine. The Russian troops are poised to invade and the Ukrainian Jewish community is on high alert. Looting and chaos have already begun to take hold and the community is in desperate need of security.   Rabbi Krohn paints a powerful picture:     “There are close to 150 children in [the Uman Jewish] school. They and their parents are terrified, because not only is the Ukraine in potential danger, but you can imagine how much the Jews are in potential danger.”   An emergency fund has been started to afford protection for the schools and shuls of the Jewish community.

“Pidyon shvuyim comes before feeding and clothing the poor, there is no greater mitzvah than pidyon shvuyim.” (Rambam)   AN URGENT REQUEST FROM RAV DANIEL BELSKY SHLITA:   Raboisai,   This week, a man in our community has been imprisoned for crimes he did not commit. Rabbonim chashuvim have officially paskened this matter as urgent pidyon shvuyim. The case is an extremely urgent one, where every second matters, for his health is failing in prison as we speak.
