As Israel commemorates the one-year anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, the IDF has released new data detailing its military operations across Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. The information sheds light on the scale of the conflict, from the number of rockets fired at Israel to the IDF’s efforts to neutralize Hamas and other terror groups. According to the IDF, around 17,000 Hamas operatives and members of other terror groups have been killed in Gaza since the war began. Additionally, approximately 1,000 terrorists were killed within Israel during the October 7 attack, when gunmen massacred some 1,200 people—mostly civilians—and abducted 251 individuals to Gaza.

The Secret Service has been at the Ohel of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, screening everyone and searching everything ahead of a possible visit today by former President Trump. Trump’s visit to the Ohel on Oct. 7 is seen as a gesture of solidarity with Jewish communities on the one-year anniversary of the murderous Hamas attack on southern Israel. It also follows a canceled visit to Gottlieb’s restaurant in Williamsburg due to the sudden passing of the restaurant’s proprietor. Security at the Ohel will be extremely tight, as Trump has been under presidential-level protection following a second assassination attempt at his golf course in Miami Beach, Florida, last month.

Sirens blared in the Gaza border area at 6:31 a.m. on October 7, 2024,  exactly a year after the murderous October 7 assault. Following the sirens, the IDF  said that four projectiles crossed into the Sufa area from the southern Gaza Strip. Three were intercepted and the fourth fell into an open area. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries or damage. Shortly later, the IDF said that the army foiled a larger rocket attack planned by Hamas by striking rocket launchers and terror tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip only moments before the planned attack at 6:30 a.m. “The IDF thwarted an immediate threat following prior preparation and identification of the intention of the Hamas terror organization to fire at Israel,” the IDF spokesperson said.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s belief that he will not survive the ongoing Gaza war has intensified in recent weeks, further diminishing the prospects of a truce or hostage deal, according to a report by The New York Times on Friday. Citing unnamed U.S. officials, the report says that Hamas has shown little to no willingness to engage in negotiations, halting progress toward any potential agreements. U.S. officials suggest that Sinwar’s resignation to his fate is partly due to the death of his predecessor and former negotiator, Ismail Haniyeh, who had been based in Doha. Haniyeh, reportedly more open to deal-making than Sinwar, was killed in a blast in Tehran in July, an attack attributed to Israel, though the country has not officially claimed responsibility.

As rumors swirl that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed during IDF strikes in the Gaza Strip, senior officials in Qatar admitted that Sinwar has disappeared and is no longer communicating with them, Channel 12 News reported on Sunday. According to the report, relatives of Israeli hostages who recently met with Qatari officials involved in hostage release negotiations were informed about the lack of communication with Sinwar. “Sinwar has disappeared and is not communicating with us,” the officials said, adding that they believe Sinwar has surrounded himself with hostages and that there is no evidence indicating that he is dead.

Israel’s Mossad crippled Hezbollah by remotely detonating thousands of booby-trapped pagers distributed among the terrorist group’s operatives in Lebanon and Syria. The September 17 attack, which has been described as one of the most ingenious acts of espionage in modern history, left as many as 3,000 Hezbollah members dead or maimed and dealt a severe blow to the group’s command structure.

The IDF announced on Sunday morning that IDF forces stationed in the Philadelphi Corridor in southern Gaza were redeployed to Jabaliya in northern Gaza in the wake of intelligence information indicating that Hamas is regrouping and rearming in the northern Gaza Strip. “The forces of the 162nd Division began operating overnight in the Jabaliya area following prior intelligence and after an ongoing situational assessment and the forces’ activities on the ground which indicated the presence of terrorists and terror infrastructures in the area, along with Hamas attempts to rebuild terror infrastructure in the region,” the IDF stated. The forces focused massive fire on the area from two directions in the surprise raid, eliminating numerous terrorists.

“Today, Israel is defending itself on seven fronts against the enemies of civilization. We are fighting in Gaza against Hamas, the savages who murdered, raped, beheaded and burned our people on October 7th. We are fighting in Lebanon against Hezbollah, the most heavily armed terror organization in the world, which was planning an even greater massacre than October 7th on our Northern border, and that has rocketed Israeli towns and cities for nearly a year. We are fighting against the Houthis in Yemen, and the Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria, that together have launched hundreds of drones and missile attacks against Israel. We are fighting against terrorists in Judea and Samaria, who are trying to murder civilians in the heart of our cities.
