Disgraced New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faced a barrage of criticism from fellow Democrats after The New York Times reported that the second former aide in four days had accused him of harassment. The former aide, Charlotte Bennett, alleges that Cuomo asked her inappropriate questions. Bennett told the newspaper that the alleged incidents happened late last spring, during the height of the state’s fight against the coronavirus. The Times report of a second aide comes after Cuomo denied allegations from another former aide who accused him of harassment. Lindsey Boylan alleged that in 2018, the Democratic governor did something inappropriate following a one-on-one briefing in his New York City office.

President Biden visited Texas yesterday for the first time since the state was besieged by a winter storm and prolonged cold spell that left millions without power and water. While giving a speech, Biden appeared to lose his train of thought within the first few seconds of a speech he delivered at NRG Stadium, which has been converted to a FEMA coronavirus camp. Biden was listing off the names of elected officials that he was thanking for “welcoming” him. After listing off a couple of names and then stumbling over another, Biden asked, “What am I doing here?” He continued, “I’m going to lose track here.” “And Reps. Shirley Jackson Lee, Al Green, Sylvia Garcia, Lizzie Panelli, excuse me, Pannill. What am I doing here? I’m going to lose track here. And Mayor Turner, Judge Hidalgo.

A 26-year-old pregnant woman in her 36th week of pregnancy who contracted the coronavirus arrived at the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba after noticing a lack of fetal movement. The doctors performed an examination and unfortunately, the baby was no longer alive. After the doctors delivered the stillborn baby, it was confirmed that it was also positive for the coronavirus – the second such incident in Israel. The woman, who had not been vaccinated against the coronavirus, is currently hospitalized in mild condition. “All the complications related to pregnancy we’ve been seeing in recent weeks are only among women who haven’t been vaccinated, ” said Prof. Tal Biron-Shental, the director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit at Meir Medical Center.

As Am Yisrael prepares to celebrate Purim in the shadow of the coronavirus, the Gedolei HaPoskim in Eretz Yisrael wrote a letter calling for people not to drink to the point of drunkenness this year. The letter was signed by HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Zilberstein, Rav of Ramat Elchanan and a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, HaGaon HaRav Shimon Badani, a member of the Motetzet Chachmei HaTorah of Shas, HaGaon HaRav Shariel Rosenberg, Gaon Av Beis Din of Bnei Brak, and HaGaon HaRav Yehudah Silman, Av Beis Din in Bnei Brak. In a letter entitled: Drinking To The Point Of Drunkenness During The Coronavirus Pandemic, the Rabbanim wrote that “a state of drunkenness is very risky and unseemly.

*OUTRAGE ON DELTA FLIGHT AFTER JEWISH FAMILY IS KICKED OFF-* A group of Hasidic men were forced to deplane a Delta flight from Miami International Airport to LaGuardia, Wednesday night. Initial reports say that the incident unfolded after an elderly Chassidish man took off his mask, allegedly for a brief moment to eat something. Video shows the apparent son, saying that his father has heart issues, and that he has trouble breathing, “So he took off his mask for a minute,” the video shows. Moments before departure from Miami, the flight crew instructed all passengers to depart from the aircraft.

At least 11 people who were on-board the El Al rescue flight from New York to Israel have tested positive for COVID-19. The flight, which originated in New York landed in Ben Gurion on Tuesday, where all of the passengers underwent a mandatory COVID -19 test. During the test, 11 passengers were found to be infected with the virus. It was also reported that some of the passengers, many being Chareidi, were bragging on the flight about having forged their documents to show that they were negative for Covid-19. The report said that some passengers, after hearing the bragging, approached flight attendants to complain. The staff said that at that point, there was nothing they could do regarding the forging of documents.

Tragedy struck the Williamsburg community on Wednesday morning, when word spread of a fatal accident involving a young child. The incident occurred at around 8:00AM on Hooper Street and South 5th Street, when an approximately 6/7 year-old child was fatally struck by a vehicle. Williamsburg Hatzolah responded and Paramedics attempted to save the child life, but were unfortunately unsuccessful due to the massive injuries sustained. Sources tell YWN that initially it was believed that the child was struck by an MTA bus, but it appears that the bus only stopped to help the child – who was struck by a hit and run vehicle. Chesed Shel Emes is on the scene, and the NYPD was investigating the incident. Additional information will be published when it becomes available to us.

Yehudah Ben-Shitrit, the husband of Asnat, z’l, who passed away of the coronavirus on Motzei Shabbos at age 32, told Channel 13 News that contrary to rumors, his wife wasn’t opposed to vaccines and even made an appointment to receive the first dose but caught the virus prior to the appointment. “At the beginning, she was a little nervous due to all the talk in the media about pregnant women but later she decided to be vaccinated and she made appointments for both of us,” Yehudah said. “I got vaccinated with the first dose but then contracted the virus and then she caught it and it was too late for her to be vaccinated.
