As summer approaches, terror groups operating in the Gaza Strip have once again initiated summer camps aimed at providing terrorist training to Palestinian youth, preparing them for potential confrontations with Israel. These camps, organized annually, serve as platforms for indoctrination and the development of combat skills within the enclave’s younger population. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is actively engaged in conducting these activities. The camp involves parades and simulated training exercises where young Palestinians are instructed on jihad against what they term the “Zionist enemy.” Fake rifles are utilized during the training sessions, which aim to instill a sense of armed resistance.

Jewish billionaire real estate developer Jay Bloom revealed that he and his son were offered two seats on the ill-fated Titan submersible, but due to safety concerns and scheduling conflicts, he declined the invitation. Instead, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son, Suleman, occupied the available seats, and ultimately perished. Bloom disclosed that  OceanGate Expeditions co-founder and CEO Stockton Rush had approached him in February, proposing the dive to the Titanic in May. However, due to weather conditions, the dives were postponed and ultimately rescheduled for June 18th.

Further details about the Hezbollah post established inside Israeli territory that was revealed to the Israeli public last week have come to light. Kan News reported on Friday that the post, consisting of two tents in the Har Dov area, was set up 30 meters inside Israeli territory and are manned by armed Hezbollah terrorists, including members of the Radwan Force, Hezbollah’s elite unit. The tents were equipped with electricity provided by generators placed nearby. The report added that after discovering the outpost, the IDF contacted the UNIFIL peacekeeping force but to no avail – no UN inspectors arrived at the area.

Media outlets in Cyprus reported on Sunday morning that an Iranian terror attack on the island against Israeli or Jewish targets has been thwarted. According to the reports, the information about the attack was conveyed to Cypriot intelligence services by Israeli and US intelligence services. The Cypriot intelligence services have been closely following the squad of Iranian operatives, who were working for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, over the past months. Although the attack was successfully thwarted, the main suspect managed to escape. Cyprus is planning on issuing an international arrest warrant.

In the wake of some extremist Jews’ violent conflicts with Palestinians on Shabbos, the Brig. Gen. of the Binyamin Brigade imposed collective punishment on the Jewish yishuv of Ateret, blocking the entrance and forcing anyone entering or leaving the yishuv to undergo a security check. The lockdown of the yishuv is especially appalling considering the fact that no matter how many hundreds of terrorists emerge from Palestinian areas and carry out murderous terror attacks, the IDF refused to place lockdowns on Palestinian towns due to fear of international condemnation. Moreover, when hundreds of local Arabs blocked the access road to Ateret beginning on Thursday and threw stones at Jewish cars, the IDF and police did nothing to stop them.

The head of the private Russian military force Wagner said Saturday he has ordered his mercenaries to halt their march on Moscow and retreat to their field camps in Ukraine to avoid shedding Russian blood. The announcement from Yevgeny Prigozhin appeared to defuse a dramatically escalating crisis that represented the most significant challenge to President Vladimir Putin’s leadership in his more than two decades in power. Moscow had braced for the arrival of a private army led by the rebellious mercenary commander by erecting checkpoints with armored vehicles and troops on its southern edge. Red Square was shut down, and the mayor urged motorists to stay off some roads.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are ready to fight, offline. In a now-viral back-and-forth seen on Twitter and Instagram this week, the two tech billionaires seemingly agreed to a “cage match” face off. It all started when Musk, who owns Twitter, responded to a tweet about Meta reportedly preparing to release a new Twitter rival called “Threads.” He took a dig about the world becoming “exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options” — but then one Twitter user jokingly warned Musk of Zuckerberg’s jiu jitsu training. “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk wrote late Tuesday. Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta Platforms, soon responded — and appeared to agree to Musk’s proposal.

The judges presiding over the criminal trial of Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu have conveyed their skepticism to prosecutors about proving the bribery charge against the premier, according to reports from Hebrew media outlets. The judges held discussions in their chambers with state prosecutors and Netanyahu’s defense team, delving into the complexities surrounding the bribery accusation in Case 4000, the most prominent of the three cases constituting the trial. Popularly known as the Bezeq-Walla case, it revolves around allegations that Netanyahu, during his previous tenure as prime minister, authorized regulatory decisions that financially benefited Bezeq telecommunications giant shareholder Shaul Elovitch by hundreds of millions of shekels.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu posted a video of one of his meetings with the Lubavitcher Rebbe on Thursday, Gimmel Tammuz. “Today, Gimmel Tammuz, is the 29th yartzheit of the Lubavitcher Rebbe,” Netanyahu wrote. “I’ll never forget our meetings and the moments I experienced in his presence.” The above video is of a meeting that is less well-known than the meeting in which the Rebbe told Netanyahu that “you’ll fight with the 119 MKs of the Knesset but Hashem will be on your side.” Netanyahu posted a video of that meeting on the Rebbe’s yahrtzeit in 2021, shortly before the swearing-in of the Bennett-Lapid government. “Gimmel Tammuz and I remember what the Lubavitcher Rebbe told me,” Netanyahu wrote at the time.

A terrorist squad that opened fire at a checkpoint in northern Shomron was eliminated on Wednesday evening in a targeted drone strike near Jenin. The IDF informed the soldiers at the checkpoint about the expected attack and then launched the drone as the squad was on the way to commit another shooting attack. Three terrorists were killed in the strike. The targeted assassination was the first time the IDF carried out a targeted killing in Yehudah and Shomron since 2002, during the Second Intifada.
