Question: A common question that arises with respect to employees relates to kickbacks. Kickbacks are cases where an employee directs business to a particular vendor, and certain benefits accrue to the employee as a result (e.g. the employee receives a portion of the profit). Is this ethically and halachically acceptable? If it is a problem, what is the proper way to rectify it?

Forty-three Florida hospital intensive care units (ICUs) across 21 counties have reached capacity as coronavirus cases in the Sunshine State surge, according to new data from the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Miami-Dade, Broward, Hillsborough and Orange counties are among those with affected hospitals, according to the AHCA data, with another 32 hospitals at bed availability of no more than 10 percent.
The report comes the same day the state Department of Health confirmed 7,347 new cases in the state, for a total of 213,794, and set a new record for the percentage of tests coming back positive, at 16.3 percent, on Monday.

Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, shared a collection of curses, threats, and incitement to violence against him which has been posted to Facebook and Twitter.
“I’m really starting to fear for my life, and the police and the attorney’s office under Nurit Litman are signalling a green light for the inciters and the bullies,” Netanyahu said.
“They still have not opened an investigation against the guy who called several times to stab me with a knife,” he added.
The prime minister’s son posted three tweets by a Twitter user who goes by the name ZORO, who wrote: “I will come to your house and break your bones [right] after I get out of jail. Get the Shin Bet, the IDF, and the Mossad. I’m sure that they’re on my side. I’ll break you.”

New Jersey’s K-12 students will be encouraged to wear masks when they return to in-person instruction this fall, state officials announced Friday.
“Throughout our school facilities, all faculty and staff and all visitors will be required to wear face coverings unless doing so would inhibit individual health as per [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] recommendations,” Gov. Phil Murphy (D) said at a press conference. “Students will be strongly encouraged to wear face coverings and will be required to do so when social distancing cannot be maintained, whether that be in the classroom or in the hallways.”
