President-elect Donald Trump had dinner on Sunday evening with Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, at the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Trump’s deputy director of communications shared a photo of the two on X.
Sara Netanyahu is currently in Miami visiting her son Yair, who has been living in Florida for over a year. Her trip will likely keep her away from Israel during the early days of her husband’s testimony in his corruption trial.
During her meeting with Trump, Netanyahu discussed the issue of hostages being held in Gaza, taken during the Hamas-led assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. This attack resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the kidnapping of 251 individuals.

Hezbollah terrorists launched two mortar shells across the border with Israel in the Mount Dov area on Monday afternoon, in violation of the Nov. 26 ceasefire agreement, the Israel Defense Forces said.
“A short time ago, the Hezbollah terrorist organization carried out two launches toward the Mount Dov area [in the Golan Heights], which fell in open areas, there were no casualties,” the IDF said in a statement.
The Iranian-backed terrorist organization took responsibility for the attack, claiming it fired at an Israeli military outpost “as a warning.”

Cpt. Omer Maxim Neutra, 21, was a tank platoon commander in the 77th Battalion of the 7th Brigade. His death was pronounced by the Military Rabbinate based on new intelligence information, and his family was notified.
Neutra was born in New York a month after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, his mother told an American audience at a Republican Party convention in Wisconsin in July, according to Channel 12 News.

Washington has backed up Paris’ assertions that Israel is violating the terms of last week’s ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, that formally ended 14 months of hostilities with the Hezbollah terrorist group.
U.S. presidential envoy Amos Hochstein, who played a pivotal role in brokering the deal, conveyed a message to officials in Yerushalayim that they are not abiding by the truce terms, Ynet reported on Monday.

President Isaac Herzog disclosed that ongoing negotiations are taking place between Israel and Hamas regarding a ceasefire and the potential release of hostages.
During a conversation with Yael Alexander, whose son Edan Alexander has been held captive by Hamas for 422 days, Herzog shared that “there are negotiations behind the scenes – and it is possible.”
“I reiterate the call – now, after the agreement in Lebanon, it’s time to make a deal and bring the captives home,” Herzog emphasized.

France has issued a warning to Israel regarding the potential breakdown of the ceasefire in Lebanon, which was set to expire on Sunday.
French officials reported that Israel had breached the ceasefire 52 times in the past 24 hours, with these violations not being conveyed through the designated monitoring mechanism. Allegedly, these actions led to the deaths of three Lebanese civilians. Additionally, France highlighted that Israeli drones had resumed flying at low altitudes over Beirut.
A senior French official voiced concern about the collapse of the ceasefire, stating, “The Lebanese are fully committed to maintaining the ceasefire and to prevent Hezbollah from returning to the south, but they need time to prove themselves.”

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has announced that he plans to step down once the military completes its investigations into the October 7 Hamas attack.
He stated in a letter to troops, “At the end of the investigations, we will also make personal decisions and commanders will exercise responsibility, from me down. I have no intention of passing over personal decisions when the picture becomes clearer to us.”
Earlier in July, when asked about the possibility of his resignation, Halevi had said he would make a decision “when the tasks are completed.”
