Days after President Joe Biden took office and the Democrats took control of the U.S. Senate, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., would not unequivocally say Sunday that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen and called for an investigation of fraud, without providing evidence. “The debate over whether or not there was fraud should occur, we never had any presentation in court where we actually looked at the evidence. Most of the cases were thrown out for lack of standing, which is a procedural way of not actually hearing the question,” “Sen. Paul, I have to stop you there,” Stephanopoulos said. “No election is perfect. But there were 86 challenges filed by President Trump and his allies in court, all were dismissed.

The appalling violence that took place throughout Israel on Sunday was fiercely condemned by Charedi Rabbanim and authorities. HaGaon HaRav Shalom Cohen, the nasi of the Moetzet Chachmei HaTorah of Shas stated that even being present at one of these clashes for a moment is completely assur and one who does so is a partner to a terrible Chillul Hashem that can never be atoned. “Lawless people create their own justice, clash with the police, riot and cause damage to people and property while seriously endangering other people’s lives, causing a terrible Chillul Hashem and besmirching all frum Jews,” HaRav Cohen wrote in a letter condemning the protests and violence.

New York City “does not have enough doses” of Covid-19 vaccine to “be able to meet the demand we know exists among New Yorkers”, the city’s health commissioner Dave Chokshi told CNN on Monday. Chokshi said the current supply, only a few thousand doses, would be used in the next 24 to 48 hours. During one week in January, more than 220,000 doses were administered, with a New Yorker getting the jab every three seconds. Chokshi said the city had the capacity to easily double the number of vaccinations, if it had the supply, and more than 20,000 vaccine appointments scheduled for last week had had to be rescheduled. He expected to get a re-supply on Tuesday and Wednesday of 100,000 doses, but those would be gone by the end of the week.

During an announcement that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made on Sunday evening he explained that in his opinion, it was not below his honor to speak to Hagaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky’s grandson, Yanky, instead of with the Gadol Hador himself. According to Netanyahu: “What can I say, HaRav Kanievsky is unavailable. Anyone who wants to speak to him needs to go through his grandson, so I spoke to his grandson as well in order to pass my message on to HaRav Kanievsky,” Netanyahu said. “I don’t see this as being below my honor. I didn’t beg. I simply told him to spread the word that everyone needs to follow the rules. That is my message to the Rav. I hope that he (the grandson), passes on my message to HaRav Kanievsky.

During an altercation in Bnei Brak that occurred on Sunday morning, two officers were surrounded by young Chareidi men and teenagers, and one of the officers was pushed causing him to take out his weapon and fire it into the air. Originally, a police spokesperson claimed that the officers were surrounded and that stones were thrown at them. After a video surfaced showing that this was not the case, the police changed their statement to say that the officer fell a sharp stabbing in his back while he was pushed. This push and stabbing feeling prompted the officer to fire his gun in an attempt to disperse the crowd that had gathered around them. One officer was then injured as he was hit in the head by a thrown object, and was taken to the hospital to be checked out after feeling unwell.

As YWN has been reporting, Bnei Brak has seen an appalling level of violence the past few days. In a previous article, some of those causing the destruction have been called “Chareidi Antifa”. It turns out, footage provided to YWN shows just that. Many of the individuals responsible for terrorizing the entire city the past few days do not dress Chareidi, look Chareidi, or even try and act Chareidi. They are dropouts from other neighborhoods, who came to the area to join the community protesting the closures of the Yeshivas due to COVID. Some of them are not religious at all.

Well-known Chareidi journalist Yanky Farber went on i24 News on Sunday, and blasted Israel Police for using extreme force against Chareidim the past few days. YWN notes that Farber is a long-time resident of Bnei Brak, who served time in the IDF. Farber says that he watched the video of the police officer in Bnei Brak pull out his gun and fire rounds into the air. “He was surrounded by some kids, not violent people. He was a little nervous, and took out his weapon and he shot into the air”, Farber says. “Let me tell you, I was in much more complicated, dangerous situations when I was in the IDF, and I never took out my weapon.” (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)

At least 10 victims were treated after a fire in Flatbush on Sunday evening. The fire started at around 5:45PM in a garage attached to a home that houses special needs adults on the corner of Kings Highway and East 29th Street. Smoke quickly filled the home, and the FDNY along with Flatbush Hatzolah were called. Flatbush Hatzolah dispatched around 8 ambulances and around two dozen volunteers to assist the special needs occupants of the home. They were quickly placed into the warm ambulances, getting out of the frigid temperatures outside. Sources confirmed to YWN that a total of 10 victims were being transported to local hospitals for observation. Bichasdei Hashem, they all appeared to be in stable condition. The fire was quickly brought under control by the FDNY.

Violence in Bnei Brak reached a new level late Sunday night, as violent Hafganos took place around the city, and a group that locals have decided to label “CHARIEID ANTIFA” are causing destruction around the city. At one location, protesters stopped a bus on Kahneman Street, attacked the driver, forced him off, and literally set the bus on fire. Local residents began to scream to the residents in the nearby buildings to evacuate, as the heat of the fire began melting the windows. People began calling the fire department, but they refused to respond until they received a police escort – due to the fact that they are repeatedly attacked by Chareidi extremists when responding to Chareidi neighborhoods. They eventually responded – after more than 30 minutes – and extinguished the blaze.

The FDNY was on the scene of a second alarm fire in Kensington, Sunday afternoon. The FDNY says the fire started in private home located at 607 East 3rd Street, between Ditmas Avenue and Cortelyou Road. The fire spread to 609 East 3rd Street as well. There were no injuries reported. VIDEO & PHOTO BELOW VIA Photos by: Hillel Lichtenstein (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)
