[COMMUNICATED]
Readers were shocked several days ago to learn of a frum man from the tristate area who was thrown into prison for crimes he did not commit. Rabbonim have kept most details private in order to protect his family’s privacy during this difficult time, and publicly request that readers come forth and donate generously towards his immediate release.
The Shulchan Aruch writes: “Every moment that one delays in freeing captives, in cases where it is possible to expedite their freedom, is considered to be tantamount to murder.” According to Rav Daniel Belsky, the man was previously not in the best of health, and now being in harsh jail conditions is truly endangering his life.
Emergency funds are being urgently collected by the Vaad HaRabbanim to free a good man who was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. To perform the rare mitzvah of pidyon shvuyim and to return a father of five back home to his anxiously awaiting family, click here.
