This is the Democratic Party’s “rising star.”

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett was blasted on X on Tuesday after a clip went viral of her calling Texas Governor Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels.”

Abbott was paralyzed in 1984 when he was 26 years old. A large oak tree fell on him while he was jogging during a storm, injuring his spine and leaving him permanently paralyzed from the waist down.
Crockett thinks Abbott’s disability is good for a laugh. She insulted Abbott over the weekend while speaking onstage during the Human Rights Campaign’s 2025 Los Angeles Dinner at Fairmont Century Plaza
“Listen, if you’ve ever paid any attention to me, y’all know that I always have remarks, and then something else happens,” Crockett began. “And so we gonna do just a couple of remarks and then something else gonna happen and y’all just pray for me cause who know what I’m gonna end up sayin’?”
“I can tell you that Morgan (Morgan Cox, an HRC board of director) has always been one of those people who will ask ‘What is it that you need?’ You know, a lot of people see you out front, fightin’, but nobody’s really asking you, ‘What do you need to maintain that fight?’” she said a couple of minutes later. “So thank you so much, Morgan, because we in these hot-a** Texas streets, honey. Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, C’mon now.”
Actor Michael Rapaport unloaded on Crockett, calling her a “lowlife s–t” and a “classless race hustling clown.”
Popular conservative account Libs of TikTok called Crockett’s comments “sickening.”

Scott Pressler didn’t mince words, calling Crockett “wicked” and “despicable”:
I don’t use this word often, but Jasmine Crockett truly is wicked. To call Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” is cruel, contemptible & speaks to your lack of character. A tree fell on Abbott when he was 26 years old — paralyzing him from the waist down. His loving wife stayed by his side & they have a lovely adopted daughter. If Jasmine Crockett represents the democrat party, I want nothing to do with democrats. Despicable.
