A school bus carrying students from the Skver Yeshiva Ktana in Lakewood, NJ to a Sheva Brachos in Shikun Skver in New Square, NY, was involved in a serious accident on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 172.
The crash, which took place in the late afternoon, caused the bus to flip over near the James Gandolfini Service Area, resulting in several injuries and hospitalizations.
Emergency personnel reported that the bus was carrying 31 bochurim and two adults when it crashed, and 13 people, including one in critical condition, were transported to nearby hospitals.
Monsey and Bergen Hatzolah were among the first responders, offering urgent medical care and collaborating with other emergency teams to manage the situation.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. In the meantime, all are asked to daven for the recovery of all those injured, including a young 14-year-old bochur who was critically hurt. His name is Naftali ben Basya.
