It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Chaim Tzvi (Chatzi) Katz z”l. He was 28.
Chatzi was a beloved baal menagein and musician who had graced numerous simchos over the recent years, enhancing it with his unique taam and hartz.
Chatzi had spent Rosh Hashanah in Mountaindale, NY, where he served as chazzan, but he collapsed on the first day of Yom Tov. Resuscitation efforts were unfortunately to no avail and he was niftar.
Chatzi was a son of Rav Elya Nota Katz, rov of Khal Lev Avrohom in the Gudz Road area of Lakewood, NJ.
Chatzi is survived by his father, Rav Elya Nota, his two sisters, extended family and numerous friends and acquaintances grieving this devastating loss.
