In good news from Shaare Tzedek Hospital on Thursday, Rosa Azilov, 64, who was shot during the Neve Yaakov terror attack that occurred near her home on Friday night about three weeks ago, was released from the hospital. Rosa was taking a walk with her daughter Tali when she was shot in her arm and leg. She then came face to face with the terrorist, and her life was saved by a neis when the terrorist told her that he “doesn’t shoot women” (and then proceeded to shoot and kill a different woman). In addition, Rosa’s daughter protected her with her own body. When paramedics arrived at the scene, she was evacuated to Shaare Tzedek Hospital in moderate condition, with fractures in the bones of her limbs. “Rosa arrived with bleeding and orthopedic injuries and underwent a series of surgeries,” said Dr. Alon Schwartz, the head of the hospital’s trauma unit. “We’re happy about the success of the surgeries and treatments. Rose will now need continued rehabilitation and follow-up. We wish her and her family members much success in the future.” (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)
