A team of firefighters from Mexico arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday afternoon to offer support to the crews already working to control the devastating wildfires that started in Southern California earlier this week.
“Firefighters from Mexico just arrived at LAX,” California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom shared on X.
“They’ll be joining 14,000+ personnel already battled the #PalisadesFire. California is immensely grateful to our neighbors’ support in the fight against the wildfires in Los Angeles.”
Additional help is also coming from Texas.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott revealed earlier today that a team of firefighters, medical staff, fire trucks, and other necessary equipment are on their way to assist.
The raging fires have claimed the lives of at least 13 people.
