The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday announced that it had successfully carried out a missile strike targeting Muhammad A’sar, the head of Hamas’ anti-tank guided missile division. A’sar was confirmed dead in the strike. The IDF said A’sar held much influence within the terrorist organization as the commander “responsible for all of Hamas’s anti-tank missile units throughout the Gaza Strip, commanded the units in routine times and assisted their activity in emergencies.” Under A’sar’s leadership, “numerous” missile attacks were launched against both Israeli civilians and IDF troops. The IDF released a video capturing the moment of the airstrike for public viewing. (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)
