Ishay Ribo hasn’t released a new album in a really long time. His last original album came out in 2019 called “Elul תשע”ט” & it’s been over 3 years since then. Is Ishay Ribo secretly working on a new album?
Ishay released his debut album in 2014 & followed that up with a bonus re-release of his original album in 2015. He released his 2nd original album in 2016, & his 3rd album just 2 years later in 2018. Ishay was truly on a roll releasing album after album, & his most recent original album was released in 2019. At that point Ishay had released 4 albums in the span of just 5 years which is unheard of in Jewish Music. 2020 would bring the release of Ishay’s “Live” album, but since then we haven’t heard anything about a 5th original album.
Ishay did of course release several singles throughout his career & since his last album he has released some very popular singles. Most notably Ishay released the massive hit single “Sibat Hasibot” in 2021 which went on to get over 10 million plays on Spotify. Sibat Hasibot also came along with a music video which amassed over 25 million views on Youtube in just 2 years! Ishay’s most recent single “Tekef Yipatach” has also performed pretty well, & in the 6 months since its release the song has amassed over 3 million collective plays between Spotify & Youtube.
It’s currently almost 4 years since Ishay’s latest original album, & fans have been wondering if Ishay is secretly working on his 5th album. It would make a lot of sense for Ishay to release a new album in the next couple of months & fans are eager for any bit of information.
Jewish Hock predicts we will see a new single from Ishay Ribo released in the next few months, followed by a new album in late 2023 or early 2024. While it may seem like a long time for a singer to go over 4 years without an original album, it does make sense. 2020 disrupted the music industry in a tremendous way & since then many projects that were in the works for singers have been pushed back a couple of years. We’ve only recently been seeing Jewish Music come back into full swing & it therefore would make sense for Ishay Ribo to be already working on his 5th original album for release in the next year or so.
No official information is currently available regarding future releases from Ishay Ribo, & Ishay’s team has not responded to Jewish Hock’s request for comment.
