Mordechai Shapiro’s new album “Achas” will Be”h be released this Lag Ba’omer! Mordy was even seen in an interview which was recorded right after Pesach saying the album was already going to print.

Mordechai Shapiro announced his 4th album almost a year ago, and its been in the works since. Mordy had been slowly making progress, with an original intention to release the album before Purim. Eventually, the album was delayed until Rosh Chodesh Nissan, then delayed until Pesach, & finally delayed until Lag Ba’omer. Mordy was really hoping to get it out earlier, but the production was taking longer than expected.

Mordechai Shapiro is long overdue for an album. His latest one, Hakol Mishamayim came out in June of 2019. In March of 2021 Mordechai Shapiro released a single “Vehi Sheomda”, and just 3 months later he released his Sing It album with the Freilach Band. Mordy then released another single 4 months later “Abba”, followed by another “Tamid Yesh Siba“!

Recently Mordy released another music video for the title track to his new album “Achas“. Mordechai Shapiro said in a recent interview with Meaningful People that his new album will be different than his previous 3. Mordy said the album will feature a mix of many different music genres, not just “Pop”.

Previously Mordy was known for his “pop” music, but he’s looking to balance out his collection a bit more with the new album – which is why he put “Achas” as the title track. Mordy said there will be a bunch of amazing “Pop” songs on the album, but there will also be some other music styles.

Mordechai’s new album will likely have 16+ tracks and include his singles released between the Hakol Mishamayim album and now (Ein Od Milvado, Vehi Sheomda, Abba, & Tamid Yesh Siba). The album will also likely come with at least 1 more music video – probably to the albums 2nd track.

“Achas” is gonna be a game changer for jewish music & it may just be the biggest album coming out this year! But that’s not it. Achas is one of over 6 albums set to come out for Lag Ba’omer! We can’t wait for the new music! This is so exciting!
