It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Mrs. Miriam Chana (Chani) Laufer a”h, wife of Moshe Laufer. She was 65.
Mrs. Laufer was a daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Yosef Katz.
She married R’ Moshe Laufer, who has gone on to become one of the great conductors, arrangers and composer in the world of Chassidic music. R’ Moshe is famously the composer of the song Keitzad Meragdim, sung at every frum wedding, as well as Invei Hagefen and numerous other classic songs. He has arranged and directed dozens upon dozens of musical albums during his storied career.
Mrs. Laufer was a woman of deep yiras Shomayim, dedicated to acts of chesed with all her heart. She was always gracious and welcoming, treating everyone with warmth and a kind word. Throughout the years, she stood by her husband’s side, supporting him in every endeavor.
She raised her children in the ways of her ancestors, guiding them in Torah and yiras Shomayim. Her devotion to her family was nothing short of extraordinary, and she accepted her suffering and nisyonos with grace, strength, and emunah.
She leaves behind five children, her four sons, Eli, Shlomie, Naftali, and Benny, and one daughter.
The levayah is being held tonight from her home at 48 Rechov HaRav Kook in Bnei Brak, followed by kevurah at the Yerushalayim Cemetery in Petach Tikva.
Yehi zichrah boruch.
