A postcard written and signed by Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion the very day after he officially declared the state of Israel’s independence was just recently discovered. The postcard, dated 6 Iyar 5748 (May 15, 1948), was sent to the founding father of the kibbutz movement, Shlomo Lavi.
